Endorsed Candidates
The Plano Police Association represents more than 400 sworn officers and civilian employees of the Plano Police Department. The Plano Police Association Political Action Committee (PAC) was established in 1989 to support informed, responsible engagement in the local electoral process.
Since 1990, the PPA PAC has conducted candidate interviews and hosted forums and discussions to provide members with the opportunity to evaluate those seeking public office. Our process is focused on identifying leaders who demonstrate sound judgment, a commitment to public safety, and an understanding of the issues impacting both the community and the men and women who serve it.
Through its endorsement process, the PAC supports candidates who prioritize fair and responsible funding for public safety, effective crime prevention strategies, and a legal and policy framework that allows law enforcement to serve the community with professionalism and accountability. These efforts are intended to promote collaboration between elected officials, city leadership, and public safety personnel in addressing the evolving needs of Plano.
The Plano Police Association PAC remains committed to a thoughtful process that reflects the values of its membership and the community it serves.
